Outrage

Last Friday (11-25-2005), I received an unexpected phone call from one of my friends in school. They were asking for my help to network their computers. Unfortunately, I wasn’t available at that time, because I had to go to the school clinic and have my wound cleaned. However, I told my friends that I’ll be available later on, after my classes (18:00).

At around 15:35, I went to class, as usual. Our professor made us watch a video about the coral reefs in the Philippines (locally), and asked a couple of questions (we wrote the answers in a 1/2 sheet yellow paper). After making it, I decided to meet my classmates earlier. With that said, I sent a SMS to one of them, and told him that I’m thinking of going there early.

On my way to the university’s front gate, I saw a sale (still inside the campus), so I decided to browse the products on sale. There were nice wall clocks, "beadlets" (bracelets made of beads; not sure what it’s called), and other accessories of the like, which are made of organic materials. My attention was brought to most tempting thing to buy (in there) — FOOD! So, I browsed more, and saw a lot of interesting stuff. I ended up buying tons of sweets.
Here are the items that I bought:
1 pack of chocolate covered sticks
1 pack of chocolate covered marshmallows with rice puffs (Which I gave to my mum)
1 pack of sweet beans
1 pack of cookies with chocolate chips
2 packs of piaya (I gave one to my mum. Didn’t know what it was, but it looked interesting)
2 packs of polvoron (Gave one to grandma’)

Sounds too many? That’s just what I bought in the 3rd floor. I still bought something on the 2nd floor, near our library! I purchased 3 packs of ready to eat vegetarian pasta.

I decided to drop what I bought in my dorm, before I went to my friend’s place. After putting them on my spare bed, I went out to meet my friends.

They just needed help in networking their computers, so I thought I could finish that fast (which I did), but due to technical problems (the cable that they bought wasn’t compatible with their peer-to-peer setup), we had to go back to the store and had it fixed.

We went back to our friend’s place once again, to eat the food that we bought for dinner, then went to Starbucks in Quezon City to meet someone. We arrived at around 21:00. We were surprised to see some of our former blockmates in the place, and they all have the same purpose of visiting the place: To meet that person we’re meeting. THAT person is NOT a celebrity, politician, nor anyone rich and famous, though. Since I didn’t have anything to do, I just tagged along with them.

Their meeting with that person ended at around 03:45(A.M.), but before we went back to our friend’s place, we went to another friend’s place, because she had to get something. I also dropped by my place to get my printer, cd-label stickers, and some paper for printing.

They immediately worked on what they had to do upon arrival to our HQ, and I just bummed around, listening to my friend’s mp3’s on his iPod. Good thing, there were two iPods there, because the one that I was using had to be charged, so I switched to the other iPod, and charged the other one.

It’s already around 7:00(A.M.), and their program was still buggy, so they called the person they met at Starbucks and asked for her help. I was still listening to my friend’s mp3’s, and relaxing.

About 30 minutes before the deadline, they finally finished the program, and I had to do the finishing touch (package it), then we packed our stuff and set off. Good thing one of our friends has a car. She drove us back to our dorms.

I just set up my printer, and took a bath when I got back in my dorm, because my mum and I had to meet at the mall to do watch a movie, eat lunch, and do some shopping. It was already around 09:00(A.M.), and I was just about to start taking a bath. I finished around an hour after (including drying/dressing up). After that, I went to the university’s clinic and had my wound cleaned once again.

I arrived early at the mall, so I had some time to roam around before I met my mom and our helper. We ate at Gloria Maris. The food was pretty good, but they should definitely improve on their hygiene!

We did some shopping after eating, just before the movie started. I thought it was already 13:40, and I rushed my mom to the cinema, but I was wrong. It was an hour early, so we did some shopping (for my new dorm). After shopping, we went to the cinema.

We were seated in the perfect spot, however, the people right above/behind us were quite annoying. They seemed like a bunch of spoiled/careless teenagers. They kept on laughing/giggling (while watching a seriously frightening film!) and hitting the back of our chairs with their shoes. It was totally annoying.

I fell asleep a few times while watching the movie, because I haven’t slept prior to that. The parts that scared the hell out of me were:
When Emily was possessed, saying "one two three four five SIX!" while hopping in the barn,
and when she said "Lucifer".

After the movie, we immediately rushed to the parking lot, because we had to attend a tribute to the elders in our church. My grandma’ was included in the program. Honestly, I was totally bored while in the church. But my mum’s happy that I went there to watch my grandma’ receive a plaque.

We ate at a new pizza place after the program, then we drove mum back home, and picked up our driver to help me bring the stuff that I bought at the dorm.

A few minutes upon arrival, a friend of mine in the UK sent a message to me on MSN, so we talked for a couple of hours. Yes, I STILL haven’t slept yet at that time. I didn’t feel sleepy anymore, so I sorted out what I bought while talking to him. After our long chat, I took a bath and went to sleep.
