Unprotected & Unplanned!
Thank God I don’t have an accountant (there’s not much to account/finance anyway)! I would’ve been been totally fried by now, if I did. That’s because I went way over my budget today (because of a lousy, cheap buffet!).
My initial plan was just to eat at a buffet in a pretty well-known restaurant in the Metro. That materialized (and so much more happened after), but I wasn’t satisfied enough/at all(!), so I booked an appointment for a full body massage treatment at The Spa before getting a haircut. The receptionist at The Spa told me to come back after an hour or so. I thought that would be just right, since I’m going to get a haircut anyway. However, the service that I availed for before my full body massage was so quick! I think it didn’t even last for more than 45 minutes (wasn’t good this time, but it usually is)!
While waiting at The Spa’s "lobby", I was trying to look for something interesting to read, but there weren’t any, except for some magazines about Golf. I was looking for something more techy to read, like a magazine about computer software and hardware, technology, and the likes. They didn’t even have a newspaper in the "lobby". I guess that’s one way for them to make their customers relaxed — by NOT updating them about what’s going on locally.
I almost forgot to mention that they’ve moved, since the last time I availed of their service. They now have 2 floors, but I think it’s too cramped up! I felt like I was being squished (compared to their old place).
My massage was good, as expected. However, I wasn’t ready to go home yet, so I ate dinner at CafĂ© Breton (in Greenbelt 3). My order was terrific, which made my night, but I was enjoying it too much, so I still didn’t go home. After my delightful dinner, I had dessert at Cold Rock Ice Creamery and Fuzion Smoothie Cafe. I still didn’t want to go home after, but I had no choice, because I was getting a bit bored anyway.
While on my way home, I suddenly thought "This is the consequence (overspending) of not putting it (my money) in the bank!", hence the first word of the title. The second would’ve probably been obvious if you just read through what I’ve written above.
Tot ziens!
